Q HOW LONG IS THE VALIDITY OF THE DGR CERTIFICATES?
Exact two years from the day it is granted. ( If Turkish Civil Aviation Authority has specified no more shorter period ) Even one day expıred certificates are invalid.
Q WHAT REGIONS THE DGR CERTIFICATES ARE VALID AT?
Training Center is accredited by IATA, Turkish DGCA and the Ministry of Education for all categories of DGR. Certificates issued by xyz company are valid both in Turkey and all over the World. ALL IATA CERTIFICATES ARE ORIGINAL and approved by IATA-Turkish DGCA and Turkish Ministry of Education.
Q WHAT IS THE MINIMUM SCORE FOR DGR INITIAL AND RECURRENT FINAL TESTS?
Minimum passing grade for both DGR Initial and Recurrent Finalsand their re-tests are 80points. The attendants getting grades over 90 are being announced as exploits and being certificated for it.
Q DO THE FAILED ATTENDANTS HAVING A RE-TEST RIGHT?
The failing attendant will be given a one time re-test opportunity. Re-test will be scheduled by the DGR Trainer and it is not to exceed 10 business days. If the participant does not attend this re-test, participant has to attend a 4 hour refreshment training, which the Schedule will be determined by the Trainin Center in 30 days of the course end, and the participant will determine the new re-test date(not to be on the same day of refreshment training). The participant not using their re-test right will need to re-take the initial course.
Q WHAT LONG ARE THE FINAL TESTS?
Test time for categories 1-2-3-6 are total 3 hours including the 30minutes extra.(03:30 Hours)
For all other categories ther is no extra time and the time for the test is total 120 minutes.(02:00 Hours)
Q WHAT IS THE LANGUAGE FOR THE TESTS?
For categories1-2-3-6, the language of test is English. For other categories test are applied in either English or Turkish.
Q WHAT ARE THE EVALUATION FORMATS FOR CAT. 1-2-3-6 TESTS?
IATA and ICAO has brought mandatory standarts for cats 1-2-3-6. Inregards of these 15 questions to be asked which 3 of them to be similar to DGD-AWB-PKG and each will be 25 points value. The total of the rest of questions are 25 points value.
Q IS ENGLISH MANDATORY FOR CATS 1-2-3-6 AND WHAT IS THE LEVEL OF LANGUAGE?
Q WHAT IS TABLE 1.5.A – 1.5.B and 1.5.C ?
The table 1.5.A-1.5.B and 1.5.C published by IATA and ICAO, categorises the personel who mandatorily to be attended DGR Initial and Recurrent courses, and the table 1.5.B is published in 2009 and categorises the mandatory DGR Courses for assosiations who DOES NOT carry DGR items theirselves. Table 1.5.C published 2013 for minimum requirements for Postal Operators ( Included Carry and non-Carry Postal Oprs.)
Q OUR COMPANY DOES NOT CARRY DANGEROUS GOODS. DO I STILL NEED TO ATTEND A DGR COURSE?
DGCA and IATA Regulations makes it mandatory for all related personel to attend either they carry Dangerous goods or not. It is mandatory for all related personnell working for an organisation approved by DGCA (pilots, cabin crew, technician, engineer, quality etc.)
Q I ONLY SHIP INFECTIOUS SUBSTANCES IN “CATEGORY-B” AND/OR EXEMPT HUMAN/ANIMAL SPECIMEN, DO I NEED TRAINING ?
Biological Products and their specimens ( Deseased or suspected unknown specimens ) containing of CATEGORY – B Infectious Substances If a person or a company ( if there is no a lethal sanction of your Ministry of Health ) must have to adequate training within Table 1.5.A, Category-1. This training is a mandatory requirement.
Q WHAT ARE THE PERIODS OF DANGEROUS GOODS COURSES?
It is 5 days / 40 hours for cats. 1-2-3-6 including test times, and 3 days / 24 hours for recurrent courses. For all other cats. Initial courses are 1.5 days / 12 hours. Awareness courses are 6 hours and final test is mandatory requirement. Awareness seminars can also be organised according to the demanders requests and an attendance certificate to be issued at the end of the seminars.
Q WHICH CATEGORY TRAININGS CAN NOT BE GIVEN BY NON DGR ACCREDITED CARRIERS?
All carriers have to accredite theirselves in category 6 according to IATA criterias. Other organisations can sell training programs only on the categories they are accredited.Unaccredited organization´s certificates do not have international validity. (Local validities are on local CAA´s decision)
Q WHERE CAN I FIND THE RIGHT TRAINING ?
Many Civil Aviation Authorities ( CAA ) require Dangerous Goods Training Schools to be approved by the CAA. Approved schools are then listed on the CAA website. In addition, IATA has an accreditation model of Dangerous Goods training schools and authorised training centers. Those schools are listed on the IATAwebsite at.
